DIANA - PIMENTON DE LA VERA (SWEET PAPRIKA)

Sweet paprika (pimenton) from the DOP La Vera, in Caceres province, South Western Spain.

Cristobal Columbus brought the plant from America to Spain and the Pimenton found in this region its perfect habitat, due to the microclimate of the zone: smooth winters and dry summers. 

La Vera is recognized as the best pimenton producer from the country, and this is a good example of it. 

Smoked with oakwood, the "encinas": yes, the same trees that produce the "acorns" that we love so much... You know what I mean, right?
